Open an IPTV M3U Playlist in VLC (PC, Mac, Android, iOS)
VLC has no guide grid or catch-up, but it opens almost any stream, so it's a good first check when you're not sure the line is working. If channels play in VLC, any remaining problem is in the other app's settings, not your subscription.

- IPTV Trends M3U link
- Internet of about 10 Mbps per HD stream, or 25 Mbps per 4K stream
Setup steps for VLC
Step 1: Install VLC
Download it free from videolan.org on a computer, or from Google Play / the App Store on a phone or tablet.
Step 2: Open the playlist as a network stream
Paste your M3U link into VLC's network option, not the file option.
- Windows: Media → Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N), paste, Play
- Mac: File → Open Network, paste, Open
- Android: menu → Stream; iPhone/iPad: Network → Open Network Stream
Your welcome email (sent the minute your trial or plan starts) holds four things: Server URL, Username, Password and an M3U link. Not in your inbox? Look in spam or promotions, or ask support to send it again.
Step 3: Switch channels from the playlist
VLC starts with the first channel. On Windows open View → Playlist (Ctrl+L); on Mac use Window → Playlist. Use the search box to jump to a channel by name.
Step 4: Move to a full player when you're happy
Once you've confirmed the line works, switch to IPTV Smarters or TiviMate for a guide, favorites and on-demand menus.
Fixes for common VLC problems
The link was opened as a file or pasted with a space at the start or end. Use Open Network Stream and paste it again; also try opening one channel URL from the playlist to rule out the network.
VLC reads the whole M3U list before showing it, which can take 20 to 30 seconds for a large line-up. Wait for the first channel to start, then open the playlist panel.
