Troubleshooting

IPTV Trends Not Working? Fixes by Symptom

Nearly every problem we see, whether it's buffering, a login error or a blank guide, turns out to be the device, the home network or a typo in the login. Most take about five minutes to fix.

Go through the five checks below in order, then look up your symptom. If you're still stuck, message us on WhatsApp and we'll take it from there.

First steps

Five checks to try first

Try a channel after each check. Stop as soon as it plays.

  1. Check 1: Power-cycle the device and the router

Unplug both, wait thirty seconds, and plug the router back in first. Once its lights settle, power up the TV, stick or box. That alone clears most frozen streams and stuck apps.

  2. Check 2: Make sure your plan hasn't lapsed

Check the expiry date in your welcome email, or ask us on WhatsApp. When a trial or plan runs out, channels spin forever or show an error, which is easy to mistake for a fault.

  3. Check 3: Measure your connection on that device

Run our IPTV speed test on the same TV or phone. Each HD stream needs around 10 Mbps and each 4K stream around 25 Mbps, plus whatever else in the house is online.

  4. Check 4: Update or reset the player

Install the latest version of the app. If that doesn't help, clear its cache (on Android and Fire TV: Settings, Applications, the app, Clear cache) or reinstall it.

  5. Check 5: Type your login in again

Copy the Server URL, Username and Password again from the welcome email. A missing http://, port number or capital letter is enough to stop it working.

Fixes for specific problems

Restart the router and device, then run a speed test. You want about 10 Mbps per HD stream and 25 Mbps per 4K stream. Use an Ethernet cable if you can or move the router closer, and set the player's decoder to hardware (HW) in its settings.

Copy the details again from the welcome email instead of typing them. Most failures come from a missing http://, a dropped port number or a capital letter. If the account has expired, message us to renew or choose a plan.

Try the channel's HD or SD version, or wait a minute and reload. Single channels sometimes drop out while the rest carry on. If a whole category stays dark for more than 15 minutes, send us the channel names.

All the screens on your plan are in use. Close the app completely on one of the other devices, wait about a minute and press play again. If this happens a lot, you can add screens, up to 5.

Ask the app to refresh its guide data (in TiviMate: Settings, EPG, choose the source, Update) and set the app's time zone to your own. A brand-new login can take a few minutes to fill the guide.

Players keep a cached copy of the library, so reload the playlist. In IPTV Smarters, tap the refresh icon or sign out and back in. In TiviMate, go to Settings, Playlists, your playlist, Update.

Clear the app's cache and free up some storage, because a nearly full Fire TV Stick crashes apps a lot. Restart it. If the app still won't open, reinstall it and sign in again.

Type it in the box on Downloader's Home tab, not the Browser tab, with no spaces. Codes change now and then. The current ones are on our IPTV Trends app page, or you can ask us.

Apps like IBO Player and Smart IPTV charge their own activation fee after a free period. That notice comes from the app maker, not from your IPTV Trends plan. Activate it on the developer's site or switch to another player.

Outages

How to tell if IPTV Trends is down

If nothing plays on any device after the checks above, the problem may be on our side. These two tests narrow it down, and we can confirm when you message us.

Try a second device

If it plays on your phone but not the TV, the TV or its app is the problem. Go back through the matching device guide.

Switch networks

Turn off Wi-Fi on your phone and play a channel over mobile data. If that works, something on the home network or router is slowing or blocking the stream.

Ask the team

We'll check your account, tell you if there's a known issue and help with what to try next.
