- In TiviMate, set Playback → Decoder to Hardware for 4K and HEVC channels.
- Use Ethernet on boxes that have a port; the Shield and most boxes do.
- On phones, download over Wi-Fi to avoid using mobile data when installing apps.
- Keep at least 1 GB of storage free so the player can cache the TV guide.

The Nvidia Shield TV Pro is the most powerful. The Google TV Streamer and the Onn 4K box cost much less and are fine for most homes. Whatever you buy, make sure it's a certified Android TV or Google TV device.
