IPTV Smarters Pro Setup: Xtream Login, EPG & Settings
IPTV Smarters Pro is the player most people start with. The same layout runs on Firestick, Android phones and boxes, Windows and Mac, and as Smarters Player Lite on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, so the menus look the same wherever you use it.

Setup steps for IPTV Smarters Pro
Step 1: Get the right version
Smarters has a slightly different name and source on each platform.

- Firestick / Fire TV: open Downloader and enter code 6468112
- Android phones, tablets and boxes: Google Play, or the developer's website if it isn't listed
- iPhone, iPad and Apple TV: 'Smarters Player Lite' in the App Store
- Windows and macOS: the desktop download on the IPTV Smarters website
Short codes are run by a third party and occasionally get re-pointed. If a code stops working, message our support team and we'll reply with the current one.
Step 2: Pick 'Login with Xtream Codes API'
It's the first option on the welcome screen. Avoid 'Load your playlist or file/URL' unless you only have an M3U link, because the Xtream option also loads movies, series and the guide.
Step 3: Add your user
Fill in the fields and press Add User. Smarters downloads the channel list, then the movie and series libraries.
- Playlist or profile name: any label you'll recognise, such as IPTV Trends
- Username and Password: copy them character for character, since capitals matter
- Server URL: paste the whole address, starting with http:// and ending with the port number
Your welcome email (sent the minute your trial or plan starts) holds four things: Server URL, Username, Password and an M3U link. Not in your inbox? Look in spam or promotions, or ask support to send it again.
Step 4: Download the TV guide
On the dashboard press Install EPG (on newer versions it's in Settings → EPG). After that, programme titles show next to each channel and in the catch-up list.
Step 5: Set your preferred player
Open Settings → Player Selection. The built-in player is fastest to switch channels; switch live TV to the VLC player if a particular channel won't start.
Fixes for common IPTV Smarters Pro problems
Go to Settings → Player Selection and change the Live player (for example from Built-in to VLC). Also check Settings → Stream Format; HLS (m3u8) and MPEGTS (ts) behave differently on some devices.
Smarters ships with optional parental controls. Settings → Parental Control lets you set a PIN and choose which categories to lock or unlock.
Settings → EPG → refresh, and check Settings → Time Format and your device's time zone. Smarters shows guide times in the device's local time.
