iPhone & iPad IPTV Setup: Smarters Player Lite or GSE
Apple only allows apps from the App Store, so on iPhone and iPad you pick a player there and sign in. Smarters Player Lite is free and familiar if you've used Smarters elsewhere; GSE Smart IPTV has more options for the TV guide.

What you need
- iPhone or iPad
- IPTV player from the App Store
- IPTV Trends login
- Internet of about 10 Mbps per HD stream, or 25 Mbps per 4K stream
Setup steps for iPhone / iPad
Step 1: Download a player
In the App Store, search 'Smarters Player Lite' (published by the IPTV Smarters team) or 'GSE Smart IPTV'. Both work on iPhone and iPad with the same account.
Step 2: Choose how to sign in
In Smarters Player Lite tap 'Login with Xtream Codes API'. In GSE, open the menu → Xtream Codes API → + to add an account.
Step 3: Fill in your account
Copy each field from the Mail app and paste it in, then save.
- Playlist or profile name: any label you'll recognise, such as IPTV Trends
- Username and Password: copy them character for character, since capitals matter
- Server URL: paste the whole address, starting with http:// and ending with the port number
Your welcome email (sent the minute your trial or plan starts) holds four things: Server URL, Username, Password and an M3U link. Not in your inbox? Look in spam or promotions, or ask support to send it again.
Step 4: Watch, or AirPlay to the TV
Start any channel, then tap the AirPlay icon in the player (or Screen Mirroring in Control Center) to send it to an Apple TV or AirPlay-capable Samsung, LG, Sony or Vizio TV.
Fixes for common iPhone / iPad problems
Player names change and some are region-limited. Search the developer name (IPTV Smarters, or Gse Smart IPTV) instead, or ask support for a current App Store link.
Use the player's own AirPlay button rather than Screen Mirroring; mirroring re-encodes the whole screen and some streams won't pass through it. Keep the iPhone and TV on the same Wi-Fi band.
That's iOS pausing background video. Start picture-in-picture by swiping home while a channel plays (Settings → General → Picture in Picture must be on).
